• Minimum 50% in the qualifying examination

  Minimum age 17 years as on 31 December of the year of admission / as on 31 August. Pass in 12th standard or equivalent with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Minimum marks: 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English taken together in the qualifying examination; 40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates. Vocational stream candidates need a minimum of 5 subjects including the four core subjects. Foreign nationals must have qualified 12th standard recognised by the Association of Indian Universities

  • Basic B.Sc. Nursing

• Pass in GNM after 10+2 or equivalent examination preferably with respective state /country. Candidate should be a registered Nurse and registered Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council. Maximum age: No candidate who is above 48 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission will be eligible. Foreign nationals must hold a valid registered-nurse certificate from their own country

  For

  • Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing

• Pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination with any subjects. Foreign nationals: 12th standard obtained by association of Indian University/ Institution/ Council or equivalent.

  For

  • General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM)

• Pass in B.Sc. Nursing (Basic) or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing from RGUHS Karnataka or any other university accepted as equivalent by RGUHS. Minimum one year of work experience after obtaining BSc Nursing (Basic) in a hospital or a Nursing educational institution/community health setting - waived for Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing degree holders. Registered with the State Nursing Council as a registered nurse and registered midwife (and NRTS registration for post-basic degree holders). Foreign nationals (including Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Tibetan refugees) need a valid certificate of registered nurse by their own country except for OBG specialty
