How many entrance exams do Bengaluru colleges accept?
24 different entrance exams are accepted across the colleges on this site. Each exam's page lists the Bengaluru colleges that accept it and the courses they admit through it.
Who conducts KCET?
The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) conducts KCET and also runs the Karnataka counselling that follows it.
Is COMEDK accepted for courses other than engineering?
No. The COMEDK test itself is for engineering only. The consortium also runs counselling for architecture seats at member colleges, but on other exams' scores, namely NATA or JEE Paper 2A for B.Arch.
Which exam is for postgraduate management, computer applications and engineering seats in Karnataka?
PGCET. It is KEA's entrance for Karnataka's postgraduate management, computer-application, architecture and engineering seats, not for engineering alone.
Do Bengaluru colleges accept CUET?
Yes, several private and deemed universities here accept CUET for their own admissions. CUET is a national test conducted by the National Testing Agency, not a college's own paper.
Are exam eligibility and course eligibility the same thing?
No. Who may sit an exam is set by the authority that runs it; who may join a course is set by the college and the regulator, and can add subject combinations or minimum marks of its own. A candidate can clear the first and still fall short of the second, so check both.
What if I miss an entrance-exam registration deadline?
Check the authority's site for an official extension or a late window first. If there is none, that exam is closed for the year, and the question becomes which other routes are open for the same course - often a college's own process or another exam it accepts.
