How they admit

The published process: (1) Enquire, (2) Apply Online via the admissions portal, (3) JET - the JAIN Excellence Test, an age-adaptive, aptitude-oriented assessment, followed by a personal interview with the Head of School, and (4) Admission Registration. Registration requires the completed admission form including the medical form, submitted to the admission office (Indian nationals) or (NRI); an application ID is then generated and sent by mail or message. Prospective families can also book "A Day at JIRS" campus visit (guided tour, interviews with academic heads, meeting with administrative leadership).

Admission window

Admissions are open annually for Grades V to XII. The academic year begins in June, with students required to report by the end of May. "JET / Assessment dates will be announced on the website"

Notes

Three curricula run in parallel. Grade VIII students must study three languages to progress to Grade IX; Grade X entrants must have studied Hindi, Sanskrit or French as a second language in Grade IX. Grade XI entrants must have completed Grade X from CBSE / ICSE / Indian State Boards / 'O' Level or IGCSE; foreign students require an Association of Indian Universities equivalency certificate. Grade XII entry is restricted to students who completed Grade XI under CBSE. The school is an SAT exam centre and states a 9:1 student-teacher ratio, with in-house coaching for IIT, NEET, CLAT, SAT and IELTS; IBDP is one of three curricula offered.
